The Tech Valley Global Business Network (TVGBN) has selected four winners for its 2012 Excellence in International Trade (“Globie”) Awards. The Globies recognize individuals of organizations that have demonstrated excellence in international trade, success in conducting business overseas or support for international trade in Tech Valley.
TVGBN is a partnership between the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber, Chamber of Schenectady County, Rensselaer County Regional Chamber, Chamber of Southern Saratoga County, Saratoga County Chamber and Center for Economic Growth that aligns organizations in the region to collectively provide education and networking opportunities for area companies interested in global trade.
Globie recipients will be honored during the 2012 Excellence in International Trade Awards dinner on Tuesday, October 30 at the Hilton Garden Inn of Troy.
This year’s Globie winners are:
Manufacturer Award
Applied Robotics
Awarded to a company with at least four years of progressive international trading
International Trade Award for Exporter of Services
EYP Architecture & Engineering
This is presented to a company with at least three years of active participation in the international trade arena by exporting professional services in international trade.
Trade Partner Award
Vine Street Marketing
Awarded to a company, trade or industry association, economic development organization, chamber of commerce or education institution with three years of active participation in the international trade arena by supporting and/or providing services to companies involved in international trade.
International Trade Award for Trader/Broker
Protective Industrial Products
This award is presented to a company with at least three years of active participation in the international trade arena and an increase in trade importing or exporting.
