ARI Celebrates World Trade Week by Hosting Visitors From Brazil
Applied Robotics held a plant tour and visit with representatives of member firms of UHY International – a global association of independent accounting and consulting firms.
Glenville, New York — May 20, 2010 – Applied Robotics Inc., a leading global manufacturer of robotic end-of-arm tooling and connectivity solutions, hosted guests from as far away as Brazil on Tuesday, May 18th, 2010, Betina Moreira Costa and Werner Trieloff of UHY Moriera-Auditores in Brazil and William Berezansky from UHY Advisors, Inc., in Albany.
Ms. Costa and Mr. Trieloff were in Upstate New York to participate in the Tech Valley Global Business Network’s “Business Opportunities in the Southern Cone of Latin America” event on Wednesday, May 19th, 2010, held at Citizens Bank New York Headquarters.  Previously, Ms. Costa and Mr. Trieloff met with UHY Advisors’ clients in New York City and were headed to similar meetings and events in Detroit and Houston.
“We do a significant amount of sales internationally,” said ARI’s Cliff Annis, “Brazil is one of our newer markets and definitely a very strong and growing one. We welcome the opportunity to grow our distribution partner network and to share ideas and best practices with international guests.”
This week marks World Trade Week.Every year, the New York region’s international trade community celebrates World Trade Week by offering educational programs and other events to promote global business.
